In October 2020, Unite sent out an email containing the personal data of CITB employers to a database of 140 people.
This personal data included:
- full name and address
- email address
- date of birth
- home and mobile numbers
- ethnic description
Unite followed this email up with another requesting that the recipients delete this email saying “The previous email was sent in error, apologies please delete it.”
If you’ve received these emails and have had your personal data shared then you may be able to claim compensation as a result.
